Efficiency tricks
Fourteen small habits that compound: the fastest ways through dispatch, the field day, quoting, and getting paid.
Updated September 11, 2026
None of these take a minute to learn; together they are why one company runs smooth on the same tool another finds "fine".
Dispatch
- Today and Tomorrow chips next to the date picker beat the calendar widget for the two days you actually live in.
- Drag from the due tray. In the calendar's day view, due-but-unassigned pools sit in a tray; dragging one onto a tech's lane schedules and assigns in one motion.
- A sick tech is a two-minute fix: day view, drag their remaining stops across the other lanes, done. Everyone gets notified automatically.
- Fix estimated minutes when reality disagrees. Every honest number makes tomorrow's ETAs and route packing better.
The field day
- Load the truck the night before. The tech route screen shows tomorrow's consolidated chemical list (it expands itself after 3 pm); morning becomes grab-and-go.
- Navigate & Notify is one tap for two jobs: directions open, customer texted with the ETA.
- Dictate, never type. The microphone button on notes turns a wet-handed 30 second ramble into a written record.
- Sticky notes end radio chatter. Gate codes, dog names, breaker locations: on the pool, at the top of every stop, forever.
Sales and money
- Quote from the catalog in the driveway. Pre-priced items make a professional quote a ninety second job, sent before you leave the curb.
- Send the card-on-file link with your welcome message. Every payment after that is two taps, and the collections machinery never wakes up.
- Bulk quote actions: remind or cancel a batch of stale quotes from the list in one go instead of opening each.
- A QR lead form at the counter or booth feeds the pipeline while you talk to someone else.
Office
- Tag your customers (VIP, gate-issues, slow-pay). Tags show on the customer header and make search a memory prosthetic.
- Add the app to your phone's home screen. It opens full-screen like a native app, one tap from anywhere. Techs especially.
